PROJECT DESCRIPTION/ STORY TELLING
The project is located in a city coast in centre Vietnam, between the mountains and the sea. The main approach of the project is a combination of the local elements present on the region, which are the ocean life, the fishing activities, and the power of the surroundings Mountains. It is also a place dedicated to celebrate weddings and set up different kinds of events, so the buildings itself has to reflect spectacular and attractive aspects.
The façade is inspired by the traditional Vietnamese fishnet, with structural bamboos supporting a light net floating above the sea. With a superposition of layers, this mesh appears also as a diamond geometry, with some of the gold panels to give to the building a jewellery appearance. In details of each panels, the geometry becomes smoother and more organic, as a reference to the natural environment, the shells, the mountains, etc…
The public is invited to enter the building passing under this floating nets around the building, and they enter in an interior where the diamond pattern design is mixed with a strong and impressive interior architecture in reference to Art Deco and different thematic space form the ground to the top. The building include a multifunctional room, a main ball room for 1 200 guest weddings dinner, private dinner rooms and a roof top bar for outdoor events. The maximum capacity of the building can reach 4 000 people in the same time. There is also a coffee shop, a car park and a full floor dedicated to the operational, including administration, kitchen, storage, etc…
We imagine the interior architecture as a journey for the guests, offering spaces for their event with different identity where the lighting has always a strong presence. From the sea level to the top of the mountains, the interior decors are inspiring the guests and offer a multitude of view point to enjoy the architecture and the view on the city and the landscape.
THE FIBERGLASS PANELS SKIN FAÇADE TECHNOLOGY
We developed an unique skin façade able to respond to the multiple constraints and appearing as a unique landmarked design.
Firstly the skin façade has protection functions, to minimize sunlight impact and prevent disorders from rain and wind. The technology we use come from the boat industry, so the panels are highly resistant to the worst water condition and resistant to U.V..
The 3D patterns design has been develop through parametric software and the data have been directly translate to robot in an efficient construction process.
