A cenote is a natural freshwater sinkhole that develops over time. They are formed when the limestone under the Yucatán Peninsula’s surface caves in, creating a hole filled with freshwater. The ancient Mayan civilization believed these enigmatic cenotes served as entrances to the underworld. The design of these areas is unique and has been inspired by renowned sites around the globe. The project aims for a tropical aesthetic with impressive entertainment options, such as a diving pool, a saltwater pool, and an Adventure Land theme water park.

We envision dining in a setting that is both mysterious and enchanting: a space crafted to enhance the visitor’s experience. The location stands out as a distinctive aspect of the project: it is devoid of natural light, necessitating a meticulous analysis and adjustment of the lighting levels. Collaborating closely with the theme park designer, we grasp their vision, using lighting to tell the project’s narrative and improve the technical aspects by choosing the right spots for the luminaires to ensure an effective lighting impact and a welcoming atmosphere.
