Designing lighting for such a vast resort by the beach demands careful consideration of the various moods that need to be harmoniously connected, from the main entrance to the beachfront stars at night. The large pool has been the focal point for outdoor lighting, providing a range of experiences from the central area where events can be hosted, to a more tranquil setting by the beach. Our goal for the entire resort design strategy was to maintain a strong connection with the night sky as much as possible. We chose a blue tone to evoke the feeling of a resort night, as this location is in a tropical and renowned area of Hoi An, Vietnam.

For the interior, our aim was to blend the lighting seamlessly into the cultural-inspired design, emphasizing the decorative aspect, as this place is also known for its traditional lanterns and vibrant nighttime colors. Following the elegancy of this brand hotel from ACCOR Group, this Grand Mercure hotel & Resort aim to be a key player in the region.
