MUI TAN PARK

This public park project has an area of more than 1.2 hectares, located along the coastline, that raised the question of light pollution on the seacoast and has been integrated as one main consideration in our design. We finally succeeded to convince for a low illumination level with floor positioned light sources only, while satisfying the desire of high appealing though a dynamic lighting fountain as a new landmark for the city with different functions: decor, playground, and entertaining, integrating dynamic lighting jets and music that plays a role of interaction and attention to the visitors.

We designed the fountain in combination with recessed linear to immerse the audience in a color scheme, while adventurous people can still walk throughout the water jets. Certain times the lighting is very soft and calm in relation to the sea movement and sounds of the waves. Some short period all the system turns more dynamic and entertaining to create enjoyment for the kids and contemplation time for the adults. The landscape lighting system is done only by recessed narrow beams light sources that give a very graphic pattern following the landscape design and avoiding light spray and glare. For the trees, we designed two different systems according to the species and their future growth.
